Our Approach

The Australian Queen Bee Breeders' Assocaition is composed of people from every corner of industry, from people who just like bees buzzing in their garden to expert queen bee breeders and honey bee researchers.

Our Story

The AQBBA was first formed in the mid 1990s to protect the interests of industry in the areas of biosecurity and trade access.  Australian Honey bee Industry Council (AHBIC) was later formed and became the peak body of the industry.  In 2017 a grass roots movement from industry re-formed the AQBBA to be a voice specifically focused issues related to queen bee breeding and queen rearing.

Meet the Team

The AQBBA is managed by a team of 5 people elected each year at our Annual General Meeting.
